檢查完后,引入新課.
T: Ok, My little friends. Today we’ll learn Lesson 57. “Where are they from?”
Step1: At first. Please look at the blackboard.(教師出示一張地圖)
T: This is a map.(教師領(lǐng)讀, 學(xué)生跟讀map)
T: This is north. North points up on a map.(教師領(lǐng)讀north.找一組學(xué)生一個接一個的讀north.)用同樣的方法教授south, east, west.
T: Ok, let’s listen to the tape and read the sentences.
Step2: Practice
1. Game. 教師出示一張地圖,一名同學(xué)站在地圖前,指出正確的方向,一名同學(xué)使用短語such as: point north/ south/ east/ west.其他同學(xué)在第一個學(xué)生指出正確的方向時,鼓掌,錯誤的重新指正,最少找5組,以上學(xué)生練習(xí).
2. Practice.
教師出示一張world map. Ask: What countries are north? 找3-5名學(xué)生回答,用同樣的方法以學(xué)生一問一答的形式練習(xí).
S1: What countries are south?
S2: …is south.
Step3: Lesson57 N2 Where are they from?
T: says: What do the students already know about English speaking countries?
Does anyone have any relatives living in English-speaking countries?

2. Play the audiotape as the students follow along in their student book. Then ask the students to read each sentence aloud with you.
3. 要求學(xué)生分組練習(xí):Teacher says: Practice in pairs. 練習(xí)3分鐘后,要求學(xué)生分組表演對話.)

Step1: 教師出示一張世界地圖.
Teacher: Look, my little friends! This is a world map.(領(lǐng)讀map3遍.)Let’s guess. What’s the meaning of the world?(要學(xué)生猜測world的含義)
Ask: What color is China?(請一名學(xué)生回答)

Step2: practice.
1. Ok, We have already known a lot about English speaking. Now let’s read the part in pairs. (給大家3分鐘時間分別成組練習(xí)。)
2. Play the audiotape as the students follow along in their student books.
3. Ask the students to read each sentence aloud with you.
4. Ask the students to practice in pairs and act it out.(再給學(xué)生2分鐘的時間練習(xí)讀對話,2分鐘后找6-8組學(xué)生分別到前面來示范表演對話。)

Step3: Look, class. 出示幻燈片,領(lǐng)讀north, south, east, west 這幾個單詞,教師領(lǐng)讀一遍后,找3名學(xué)生繼續(xù)領(lǐng)渡這幾個單詞。

2. Learn the song line by line.

We live in China, We speak Chinese.(教師教授speak, Chinese).教師領(lǐng)讀5遍,找2組學(xué)生分別讀這幾個單詞。)
We speak Chinese. Chinese is the meaning of “漢語“。

T: 出示幻燈篇,講解speak的用法。
T: We live in China. Beijing is the capital city of China!(出示Beijing的圖片)

2. Explain. Note that in Canada, they speak English and French because many French people lived in Canada when Canada became a country.

Where is Australia?當(dāng)學(xué)生能夠回答出It’s southeast of China.時,及時講解southeast. southeast是south和east組成的合成詞,意思是 “東南”.要注意其構(gòu)成是south在前,east在后.翻譯漢語時恰恰相反.類似的還有southwest(西南), northeast(東北), northwest(西北).

如果學(xué)生回答正確的話,教師采用 Right!/ Very good!/ That’s right.等句子對他們的回答表示贊同.

取出一組卡片,讓學(xué)生分別說出China, Canada, the U.S. The U.K. and Australia.

What’s it famous for? 根據(jù)這個問題引出lesson 63的第二個部分.

beach的復(fù)數(shù)形式為beaches.向?qū)W生介紹以s, x, ch, sh為結(jié)尾的名詞變復(fù)數(shù)時,需要在詞尾加es.
