Important & difficult points and explanation[重難點(diǎn)解析]:

1. fish and chips. 炸魚和炸土豆條。

作為食品名詞chip需加s。而fish and chip修飾名詞,作定語(yǔ)時(shí),chip不加s。如:

People usually buy it in a fish and chip shop.

人們通常在炸魚和土豆條的店里買它。

這里的fish和chip作shop的定語(yǔ)。在英語(yǔ)中一個(gè)名詞作另一個(gè)名詞的定語(yǔ),往往表示類別,不表示所屬(故不用’s形式),名詞的修飾詞往往用其單數(shù)形式,如:

weather report 天氣預(yù)報(bào) coffee cup 咖啡杯 girl student 女學(xué)生 season ticket 季票 paper bag 紙袋 eye care 視力保護(hù) fruit shop 水果店

2. It seems that American fast food is the most popular in the world.

美國(guó)快餐似乎是世界最受歡迎的

1) seem 后接從句: It seemed that mother knew it

2) seem 后接動(dòng)詞不定式: Mother seemed to know it.

3. 部分形容詞的比較級(jí)和最高級(jí)的變化復(fù)習(xí)
