一、教學(xué)目標(biāo)
1.復(fù)習(xí)Section A中學(xué)過的問路、指路用語。
2.認(rèn)識(shí)街上常見的交通標(biāo)志,學(xué)習(xí)關(guān)于交通設(shè)施的單詞和功能用語。
3.培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的聽、說能力。
4.通過對(duì)問路、指路的學(xué)習(xí),為學(xué)生創(chuàng)設(shè)自學(xué)、小組探究的學(xué)習(xí)情境,讓學(xué)生能在現(xiàn)實(shí)生活中靈活運(yùn)用已學(xué)過的知識(shí),來達(dá)到“在學(xué)中用,在用中學(xué)”的教學(xué)目的,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生自主學(xué)習(xí)的能力。
5.通過問路、指路的學(xué)習(xí),使學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì)看線路圖;學(xué)會(huì)遵守交通規(guī)則。學(xué)生在掌握用英語問路、指路的同時(shí)學(xué)會(huì)樂于助人,滲透了在幫助他人的同時(shí)也快樂自己的德育思想。
二、教學(xué)重點(diǎn)、難點(diǎn)
1.教學(xué)重點(diǎn):掌握問路、指路的句型。
2.教學(xué)難點(diǎn):讓學(xué)生能在理解的基礎(chǔ)上,自由靈活地進(jìn)行練習(xí);學(xué)生在現(xiàn)實(shí)生活中如何能夠正確、靈活地使用問路、指路常用語。
三、教學(xué)準(zhǔn)備
錄音機(jī)、交通標(biāo)志圖片、小黑板(上面畫有線路簡圖)或一張線路地圖。
四、教學(xué)過程
Step 1. Review
Show the Ss the following picture(出示線路圖)on the blackboard. Let the Ss answer the questions according to the picture in order to check Section A.
Ask and answer in pairs like this(讓學(xué)生根據(jù)老師出示的線路圖進(jìn)行對(duì)話).
1. S 1: Excuse me. How can I get to …?
S 2: Go along…,turn right / left…
2. S 1: Excuse me. Which is the way to …?
S 2: Go across / ahead…take the … on the left / right.
(設(shè)計(jì)說明:針對(duì)學(xué)生已初步學(xué)習(xí)和掌握了Section A中的問路、指路的句型,老師可利用小黑板上的線路簡圖或線路地圖進(jìn)行進(jìn)一步的鞏固練習(xí),使學(xué)生很自然地過渡到要學(xué)的新課上來。)
Step 2. Presentation
1. Let the Ss listen to 1a and answer the following questions.
(1)Where does the man want to go in Dialog 1?
(2)Is the man in Dialog 2 new here?
(3)How far is it from the station to Beitai Road?
(4)Which bus can he take?
(5)Did that woman tell him about the way at last?
2. Let the Ss listen to 1a again and check the answers, then learn the new words:
until,miss,kilometer,should,change
3. The teacher and the Ss practice 1a in pairs.
4. Let the Ss find out the important sentences in this dialog. Then write them down on the blackboard.

Step 3. Consolidation
1. Ask several groups to act out 1a.
Let them pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.
2. Let the Ss listen to 1b and fill in the blanks.
3. Listen to the tape again and change to check the answers.
4.Let the Ss ask the way and give directions to familiar places with their partner,make dialogs in pairs and act them out.
(設(shè)計(jì)說明:1b 給學(xué)生提供了練習(xí)聽力的機(jī)會(huì),讓學(xué)生在聽力練習(xí)中進(jìn)一步理解和掌握本課的重點(diǎn)句型,并讓他們?cè)诂F(xiàn)實(shí)生活中運(yùn)用。1c 為學(xué)生提供了練習(xí)口語的機(jī)會(huì),讓學(xué)生與自己的同伴利用所學(xué)的內(nèi)容自己編一段小對(duì)話,來鞏固練習(xí)本課出現(xiàn)的重點(diǎn)知識(shí)。)
Step 4. Presentation
1. Let the Ss talk about the traffic signs and public facilities in 2. Learn the new words:public, light, danger.
2. The teacher shows the cards of the traffic signs(part3). Let the Ss guess how to express them in English.
3.Look at the pictures and finish part 3. Let the Ss read after the teacher.Educate the Ss to follow the traffic rules, and to become an eligible student.

Step 5. Practice
1. Act out the dialog according to the following pictures.
T: Suppose you are a driver, What do you do when you see the signs in part 3? Discuss in groups.
S 1: When I see this sign “Turn left”, I can turn left.
S 2: When I see this sign “No parking”, I can’t park my car.
…
2. Pair work. One student describes the sign and the other draws or finds out the corresponding pictrure in 3.

Step 6. Project
T: Suppose you are a policeman in Beijing. A driver from another city is asking the way to the west gate of Beihai Park. Please make up a dialog. Try to use the words in section A and Section B as many as possible.
