A leader is the head of a school， or enterprise. He is the guide and supervisor as well as a boss or manager. In a sense a leader is the pacesetter in doing things. He is a pioneer and he blazes the trail for others to follow. Therefore he is braver， faster and stronger than others.
A leader comes from the masses. He has the mixure of charaeters from the masses. The leader shows the way to those led by him. He also needs support from the masses. He can earn this support only by his integrity and strength. He must show his ability to lead， that is his leadership or managerial skills. Otherwise he will be looked down upon by his counterparts.
A good leader has many followers or disciples. He is loved and respected by those led by him. But we should be aware not to let the black sheep take the lead.

There are still many problems of environmental protection in recent years. What is more, vegetation had been greatly reduced with the rapid growth of modern cities.
To protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot. Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution. Therefore, governments are playing the most important role in the environmental protection today.
In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people means more people means more pollution. Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.

It was funny. Last Friday my roommates were making jiaozi (dumplings). Thinking that the boy students were coming, the few of us had to give theroom an extra clean and make some decorations. The dumplings were to be made on the table, so the table had to be cleaned thoroughly. We were busy swiping the floor, washing the table and tidying things up. Finally, we set out a few pots at green plants to add beauty to our bedroom. Hardly had we put everything in order, when we heard "Bang, bang, bang!" Someone was knocking at the door. I opened it. It was not the boy students. Who do you think it was? Those who came to inspect hygiene. It was an coincidence, and we killed two birds with one stone. Our bedroom scored high for mom hygiene. No room exceeded ours in the appraisal for an orderly bedroom. It was great!
When that group of people were gone, there came anothergroup. This time it was the real guests. We were making jiaozi (dumplings). While I was making them, I was thinking that if the hygiene group came back now, we would score the lowest!

Acid rain from coal-fired power plants is reducing agricultural yields. Poor planning deforested the area in several years. For example, the Chinese cut down large quantities of trees in the early years, at the source of the yellow river, which led to the disappearance of big forests and terrible floods. As a result ，the Huangtu plateau which was once covered with grass and forests turned into barrens that supported fewer plants.
To protect the environment, I have had more vegetables than meat. When I finish washing the clothes, I usually use the water to clean the floor. If I see the dripping tap,I will fix the tap as soon as possible. I would rather choose cloth bag rather than plastic bag when I am going shopping. Otherwise, I have planted many trees.
I am firmly under the belief that we should protect the world start from ourselves. What we are suffering is only a small part of what the earth once suffered. If we don't take action to show respect to the environment, we will have to confront an increasingly awful situation. Measures should be taken to protect the environment on which we are relying.The government is supposed to explore renewable resource. Governments should forbid destroying vegetation, rivers and lakes, oceans, as and the atmosphere as well. More attention ought to be paid to ecological environment and sustainable development. Only by improving the way we treat the environment can we get along well with it. Only by being kind to the environment, we can save ourselves.
